Preflight first.Then print.

Drop a file and we measure it before anyone pays — the real pixel count out of the file's own header, against the size you actually ordered. Under 200 DPI we say no rather than print it soft. What clears becomes a job with a reference that survives the sheet being cut.

The state of it

What works today

PreflightReads 64 bytes of the file header and returns a measured verdict. A 200MB file never moves to find out it would print soft.Live
The job recordD1. Every job carries its size, its measured DPI, its node and its receipt.Live
The three nodesRiverside CA · Henderson NV · Rapid City SD. Capabilities and capacity, not ownership.Live
The claimOne strongly-consistent update with a 30-minute lease. Two nodes cannot both win the same job — tested, the second is refused.Proven
Gang packing24 order lines to 132 transfers to 21 sheets at 77% mean coverage, with a pick manifest row on every piece.Proven
UploadPreflight runs before upload, so nothing is blocked. Storage is Drive today; R2 when a stranger's browser needs to PUT a large file.Soon
CheckoutNothing here takes money. Internal tool across three of our own locations — release-to-floor is a button, not a payment. Not yet
Render + transportA 22.5x36 sheet at 300 DPI is 292MB — it renders on the node that prints it, never at the edge. Not built. Not yet
